HOURS OF OPERATION:
Monday through Friday 9 am - 4 PM
Closed Saturday and Sunday
We love to see you smile. Really, we do. That's because we take great pride in offering the most up-to-date dental techniques in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We know that every great smile--your smile--is the sign that we've done our job to provide the highest level of care in the industry.
Bring yourself and your family in for an initial consultation and we will help you map out a complete dental plan that achieves superior and healthy results.
We pride ourselves in working with the best dental specialists in the area to be able to provide you with the most customized and comprehensive dental treatment plans, tailored specifically to meet your particular needs.
We are a GENERAL DENTIST office. We are extremely grateful and proud to be able to coordinate care for and ever-increasing amount of patients in Syracuse, NY and beyond. As a GENERAL DENTIST, Dr. Chobor is analogous to your Primary Care Physician. We welcome children, however we are NOT a PEDIATRIC DENTIST. Any and all work requiring SPECIALIST expertise to achieve optimum results in yours or your child's dental care will need to involve a SPECIALIST to meet those particular needs on a case by case basis - especially if there is a safety concern which we may not be equipped to handle. We are NOT licensed for SEDATION.
Regarding School or Daycare Forms: Your school or day care has forms they provide for your dentist to fill out for dental clearance. It is your responsibility to bring the required paperwork from said establishment for our office to fill out.
Regarding X-rays: In order to establish baseline records for future comparison and proper diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Chobor does require comprehensive x-rays be taken at the first visit (unless you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.)
We use digital x-ray machinery in order to minimize the radiation exposure to our patients, as we know this is a major concern for some. Cell phones, fluorescent lamps, microwaves and computers all emit small amounts of radiation. The radiation is a by-product of screens, the processes the allow products to cook, wireless signals and countless other things. These levels are so low that they pose no known risk to you or your health. You'll still receive more radiation from these sources than you will from x-rays at your dentist's office, which is true even if you see your dentist several times a year.
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant: We delay most treatment until after the birth, unless it is an emergency. Please bring in clearance dated and signed by your OB-GYN provider prior to your first appointment in order to be seen right away for your emergency.
We participate with many insurances and are in the process of credentialing for more. It is your responsibility to know what your dental insurance plan covers and does not cover or if it is active. Our office provides these services as a courtesy. Predetermination of benefits for proposed treatment is ONLY an estimate and does not take into consideration any outstanding claims you may have incurred from other service providers that have not cleared yet or other exclusions. Any and all balances not covered by your insurance may become the patient's responsibility in accordance with the terms of your insurance company.
SOME SIGNIFICANT APPOINTMENT POLICIES:
Kindly provide us with 24 BUSINESS HOURS' notice if you need to change your appointment. Missing your appointment may deny another patient in need the use of our services and attention and may result in your dismissal from the practice. In addition, although we will make every effort to accommodate you and your family depending on the schedule that day, being 10 minutes late to your appointment may result in a reschedule. We strongly recommend you confirm your appointment ahead of time so as to ensure we are adequately staffed to meet your needs and can be seen in a timely fashion. Not doing so may result in a reschedule.
Patients under the age of 18 will only be seen with a parent or legally appointed guardian present. If you are getting dental work done, please have someone present to watch your underage child or children. No exceptions. This is a major safety concern for your children and cannot be negotiated.
*****Please check our Facebook Page regularly for updates regarding inclement weather or other emergencies that may impact your appointment.******
Most Importantly: Thank you for considering our team for your dental needs!
If you are an office we refer patients to: Kindly give us up to 1 week's notice for x-ray procurement.
