Is Invisalign Right For you?

October 18, 2019 by Daniela Chobor DDS Leave a Comment

We have provided some information below to help determine whether or not Invisalign is a fit for you. We hope the following answers to some of the more common questions we hear will help you in your decision making process. If not, feel free to contact us at the office anytime.

Invisalign is an amazing new technology that has many benefits. However, there are some things you need to know in order to make an informed decision. Here are some answer to some more commonly asked questions:

1.) What cases are treatable with Invisalign?

Invisalign can treat mild to moderate and often even more serious gapped teeth, overbites, underbites, open bites, overly crowded teeth and even cross bites.

2.) How long do I wear my aligners each day?

Invisalign recommends that aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day in order to achieve the best results. However, because the aligners are so comfortable this often has less impact on your lifestyle than traditional braces.

3.) How long does the treatment take?

The treatment can vary depending on the severity of your case. The average adult treatment is 12 months.

4.) Do they work as well as braces?

Naturally this depends more on your commitment to wearing your aligners than to the technology itself. As long as you remain diligent about wearing your aligners the treatment will be effective.

5.) Is it more or less expensive than braces?

Invisalign is typically very comparable to traditional braces. Our practice also offers various methods of payment and most insurances will cover a portion of treatment.

So, are you ready to take the next step?

We are now accepting new Invisalign patients and would like to offer you a free no obligation consultation to answer any more questions you may have and to determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign.

🚧 A Quick Note About Traffic Around Our Office 🚧 🚧 A Quick Note About Traffic Around Our Office 🚧

If you’ve had an appointment with us recently, you’ve probably noticed that traffic on and around Irving Avenue has become much more challenging than usual.

The delays are the result of the ongoing I-81 Community Grid project and road reconstruction happening throughout the University Hill area. Several traffic patterns have changed, lanes have been reduced, and detours are affecting travel times throughout the medical district.

What does this mean for you?

✅ Please allow extra travel time before your appointment.
✅ Consider checking your GPS route before leaving, even if you travel this area regularly.
✅ If possible, avoid peak traffic hours (approximately 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:30–6:00 PM).
✅ Alternate routes through East Genesee Street, Erie Boulevard, or local side streets may sometimes be faster, depending on current conditions.

We understand how frustrating these delays can be, and we appreciate your patience. The construction is intended to improve traffic flow and infrastructure throughout Syracuse, but we know the process hasn’t been easy for anyone trying to get to appointments, work, school, or the hospitals on University Hill.

If you find yourself running late because of traffic, please give our office a call. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to trust us with your care. ❤️ #syracuse #traffic #smallbusiness #patience #315

This Memorial Day, we honor the sacrifices of those who served. Like Odysseus, who returned home unnoticed except by his faithful dog, Argos, many veterans carry unseen hardships.
